RC use chemical mixture fuel from methanol and non-petroleum lubicrant

Petroleum is 100% different from methanol/nitromethane

If u dont know details, dont pretend as expert to tell the false to others

模型油同真既油根本是兩回事~
淨係個燃燒溫度都相差大大不同了.

both methanol ....kerosene.......and even petrol are obtained from fractional distillation of Petroleum......

but their chemical composition are different......also the additives.....

they are manufactured for different purposes.......

put it simple......just like you won't use detergent to brush your teeth

Methanol, also known as methyl alcohol, carbinol, wood alcohol, wood naphtha or wood spirits, is a chemical compound with chemical formula CH3OH. It is the simplest alcohol, and is a light, volatile, colourless, flammable, poisonous liquid with a distinctive odor that is somewhat milder and sweeter than ethanol (ethyl alcohol). At room temperature it is a polar liquid and is used as an antifreeze, solvent, fuel, and as a denaturant for ethyl alcohol. It is also used for producing biodiesel via transesterification reaction.  Methanol is produced naturally in the anaerobic metabolism of many varieties of bacteria.

If I am wrong, welcome to correct me.  But please make sure u know the truth.  Advise u, so called as senior member, to study some information before you comment on other people.

reaction of methane obtained from petroleum gets methanol.......and also many other chemical reactions....methanol can also be manufactured from coal, natural gas and also reaction of cabon dioxide and hydrogen...and many others.

I believe majority of the industry still uses chemical methods to get the product they want...except those biochemical plants and high tech biofuel producers.

it's produce naturally <----- true, that's why there are traces of methanol in the atmosphere.... but this is not the stuff we're talking about here.

if all methanol used for all industry in the world are obtained from organism.......imagine what price will it be costing you at the present state of technology?

try to look into chemistry books instead of copying partial facts from dictionaries/website or whatever source you're blindly referencing

yes, u ar right...the methanol is mainly produced from methane gas which can get from natural  gas or some use coal......but as u mentioned before, methanol are product of Petroleum.  Do u think natural gas or coal is Petroleum?

If you think those alcohol are really product of petroleum, the price of alcohol from medicine shop shall rocket as the price of petroleum is increasing significantly.....

It's easy, I give you the formula:

for 25% nitro:
(1) 25% nitro methane (CH3NO2), 10% to 13% castor or synthetic oil, 65% methanol.

for 30% nitro:
(1) 30% nitro methane (CH3NO2), 10% to 13% castor or synthetic oil, 60% methanol.

oil/lub content are same anyhow......... just adjust the ratio of nitro methane and methanol.

肯定奶野............

其實香港買野都算平,但香港遙控市場比之前細左,代理不會亂入d唔出名野,所以我們選擇都少左,油就係最佳例子
油自己mix係可行.但在香港買原料又難,價錢同買成品差冇幾,死心啦!!!
