How to choose: 2WD vs 4WD

May sound a bit silly but for 2WD vs 4WD, which one is with more fun to run? I guess "easy for maintenance" would go to 2WD.

2wd very easy to maintenance

2wd will give you longer running time, faster, but no traction.
4wd super easy to control, especially in cornering!!

2wd jumps easier

Would like to ask if those Proline Buggy tires durable or they wear down quickly? Thanks!

4wd入灣可以收油較遲，出灣俾油又可以早啲！on race一定係4wd快d~
但2wd結構比較簡單同維修方便，呢點亦係2wd受歡迎嘅原因之一^^

I like the speed of 2wd and more challenging to drive on offroad track

How about the run time difference between 2WD and 4WD?  (Assume using the same motor, battery, ESC)

I guess if everything is identical, 2WD should have a longer run time than 4WD due to the energy expense in 4WD is higher than 2WD.

Yes, I do think so.  And theorectically 2WD should be lighter which helps a longer run time as well......

The more I study the 2WD, the higher the desire to get the car, wanna to have it this weekend so I can run on next weekend!

但4WD好控好多, 尤其是越野, 同2WD無得比

I prefer to get a 4WD instead.....easier to drive.......

I'll pick 2WD, more challenging!

I also have the same preference!!!  Specially on maintenance, costs and drivetrain efficiency points of view.   

Since 2WD is much simple, of course more durable.
One thing very important for beginner. If you play with bros such as in TKO, most of them play 4WD (DF03) but you drive 2WD, you can't catch up with them in sand road and you may lose fun. So consider what groups you are playing with as well.

I see! But won't it be due to the ligther in weight with 2WD, the speed for both should be similar. Please correct if being wrong! Thx!

如果只跑直路,2WD可能快D因為輕.
但如果在沙地(抓着力低的地方)互相追逐走彎的話,2WD因抓着力不及4WD,便會甩尾(即失速). 所以過彎便會比人放甩,所以得直路快是冇用的.
我建意不如你去TKO睇人放一次先決定..
