I am running 4 1/12 and here is my 2 cents on them :
(1) Xray X12 - high grade ball bearings and build quality, car is slightly too stable in my opinion but proper setup might help to improve steering aggressiveness.
(2) R12 - great design, very reliable and consistent performance, need Yokomo specific tires / rims (rear rims offset are different). A good choice if you have loads of $$ and can wait for parts / tires supply.
(3) S120LT - some ball bearings died in my initial few packs, replaced them with higher grade ball bearings will resolve the issue. So far my faster pan car in the local track (I ran in Singapore) in term of single best lap and overall 8mins laptime.
(4) 12R5.1 Lipo version - QA quality is not impressive at all, since my TC6 and 12R5.1, at least 2 parts per car are not in correct size or with defects. Car handling is not bad tho.
Beside the chassis, I also opt for Hobbywing 1S ESC over LRP SXX v2 ;) |
