DIY F-1 motor mount

i like the kyosho motor mount and i also like alum parts so ......

I think can cut some holes to let the heat dissapate and reduce weight.

it is not CNC just hand mill . since the small milling machine can cut 0.01mm .it is easy to keep everything with in tolerance.but it take a long time to make .took me 35 hour labour (around $110) to finish.

it can use 6t and 7t gear but i can make it fit from 7t-9t

this motor mount keep all the aerodynamic (rear diffuser = greater downforce) and the 5g add to the rear help a lot to keep the rear tire sticking to the ground.now i can make a turn with 75% throttle and it wouldnt spin out. i just love driving my F-1 now and my mr-02 is just seating on the shed.

wahhhhhhhhh, although the cost is just $110, but.............35 hrs labour, i'd rather spend $2xx to buy an Atomic one

the fun part is making it .and see it work .
i like the atomic too, but it is not good for aerodynamic .
aerodynamic is very important in F-1 car

ic, thx for your info...so, if the aerodynamic is so important and will affect on this Mini F1, i will keep using the original plastic one then...

can you make a AWD chasis with that machine? I'd really want one.

i thank the original one will give more downforce .
i develop hybrid vehicle for Ford .we make small model of hybrid car for testing (aerodynamic)
if it is all good than we make the real car. so size doesnot matter.

i have that idea too .but no time yet .some day next week maybe ,but im sure it will take more than  two week to finish since the AWD is about 5x more work to do than the motor mount.
