Yes, length and diameter of the back pressure line affects pressure.
Many people know about the legnth, but overlook the diameter of the pressure line. ; )
Regarding the pressure chamber:
If the car is immobile, having a pressure chamber or not,
or the placement of the air chamber is not crucial.
Yet, if it is placed on, say a GP buggy that is cornering above medium speeds,
then the decrease/increase in fuel tank's air pressure is a known issue. =)
To keep things simple,
you will notice the air/fuel mixture getting much richer when you turn one direction,
and much leaner in the other direction.
Having a pressure chamber in a strategic location helps "buffer" and minimizes this effect. |
