ching,
1. put fuel into fuel tank
2. plug the exhaust outlet by using finger or toilet paper
3. pull the engine repeatedly until fuel is going into the engine
4. remove the plug mentioned in 2. above
5. put the glow starter on the "dick" at the heat sink. (do you know how to put?)
6. pull the engine. if fuel has already get into engine and glow starter has been installed properly, you can smell burnt fuel. it means the engine tends to start. give it few more pulls, it will then start!

to shut down the engine, you can:
1. squeeze the fuel inlet; or
2. plug the air inlet; or
3. plug the exhaust outlet.
there may be many possibilities that your engine stops immediately after it started. even low battery level of the glow started is also a reason. properly charge your glow starter and retry. if problem subsists, try to adjust the main needle by using following stupid but sure method:
1. rotate the needle by 180 degree clockwise;
2. make sure fuel has got into engine;
3. install glow starter and pull start;
4. if not ok, then remove glow starter and rotate the needle anticlockwise by 180+180 and then 2, 3. if not ok, then remove glow starter and rotate the needle clockwise 180+180+180 and then 2, 3. if not ok, remove glow starter and rotate the needle anticlosewise 180+180+180+180 and then 2, 3... and so on until the engine starts properly.
