My opinion is do not charge it by over 5A, 03mv peak cut. And if your charger has temp control, try not to charge it over 44-45ºc not using cooling fan.
For discharging. Do not discharge to 0.9V each cells, unless u are going to charge it back immediately. In my opinion NiMH battery self discharge rate is high. For battery keeping, if u are using / playing every week, no discharge require at all ( provided that you ran the battery till slow, do not over drain it )
For battery keeping, if u r not using the batt / keeping it like 2-3 weeks, u should periodically charge 2000-3000Mah to store, my experience is that a healthy IB4200, 2000Mah can hold for apx 3 weeks before it drain itself.
Right before u r going to use / play the battery, discharge it to 1-0.9V, wait till the pack's temperature go normal and charge.
So you should always observe the voltage not to go under 1V when you're keeping the batt.
