The real F1 car aerodynamics were forced to change to the current lower end and ugly F1 in 2010. So 2009 F1 cars were supposed to be the most advanced and complicated in aerodynamics.
To compensate for the loss in grip due to poor aerodynamics after 2009, FIA went back to allow the use of slick tyres in 2010. So these HPI scale F1 cars look advanced in bodies but not scale in the tyres.
If model cars require the use of slick to get the grip, they should use either 2010 or 2011 bodies like what Tamiya did. But then the hind wing might be too small for the required downforce.
