I have a question on setting up gears.

What would be the difference in cornering and straight line speed between 22/88 and 24/96 ?  since they are of the same gear ratio. Thanks ^^

You would be moving the motor forwards/backwards I forgot what each one does.

Try "toe out" in next run ^^

Got testing yesterday at JV and now the cornering is getting better when using toe-out.
Play time is up to 12min (1 time) using 1cell. Normal play time 8-10min.

    Hi bill, I have changed my esc setting to "1300" and got around 12min for 1 time but normally got 8-10min when using "1720"

Can play 12 min ????

    Only 1 time but need more data to justify ^^

1720 mode is easy to drive,1730 mode come too much punch

    Hello Bill, beside ESC setting, have you change any setting on your 12 son? like caster, center spring, side spring, etc.

Test Day ^^
Today had tested with 3 packs 1S-lipo and the mean play time is about 8m30s and max play time is 8m46s ^^


Trial 1: gear ratio: 26/96, 8m15s
Trial 2: gear ratio: 24/96, 8m46s
Trial 3: gear ratio: 24/96 again, 8m29s

    Hi Bill,
    for 8m15s, using 26/96
    the rest of 2 test run, using 24/96

Today's test run:-
Have tested the 1S-lipo again
29/1/2010 at JV, 2-4pm
Timer by 4PL, count down for 10min
race start and on going...
Finally I turned my car back to pit area before the ESC lipo-cut activated.
Then, stopped the timer on 4PL and it is found that the reading is around +2min30s, which means the play time is about 10min+2min30s = over 12min30s when using
SXX v2 with 4.0T, ESC setting 1,3,0,0
gear ratio 24/96
Front tire: Xceed medium (dia. before run, about 44.5mm)
Rear tire: Speedmine 30R (dia.before run, about 52.4mm)

and the second run time is about 12min48s. ^^
I need one more set data to justify the play time for using 1S-lipo in JV and I hope to do the same test on the coming pro ten as well ><
