just from the box:
015 very hard to control.
awd can be handled even by my gf.
a year later i spent some $$ to mod both of them:
all mod parts from kyosho: 015 can be used only on tracks (with practice).
mod parts from atomic, kyosho and pn: awd very hard to find the right settings. 3x more mod parts that leads to 10x more expensive.
personal opinion: 015 is in my display shelf most of the time. awd is so much fun that i can't stop playing with it.
i am planning to get an 03 because i have a tx ko-10 with 2.4g module.
if you have no tx at all, get the awd (preferred) or 02 ready set.
if you have a tx then i'll suggest you to upgrade it with 2.4g compatible then get the awd or 03. the cost for upgrading the AM mini z to 2.4g later is almost the same to getting a new one.
