I admire kambox808's effort and time put into this "lose weight" project. I'm sure he has spent a lot of time re-searching for possibilities and the craftsmanship involved is very time consuming. Well done! 
On the other hand, I'm not sure if your effort is worthwhile. Losing weight is very important but with this minimal amount, I believe only top drivers can actually "feel the difference".  Besides, I agree with stephenchow regarding the gear balance problem. Uneven weight distribution will cause vibrations, in severe cases, the gears will wobble resulting in "so chi". Please be careful. 
Innovations are what we need in this hobby! Besides, there is no harm in trying and testing with different ideas and settings. That's what make RC fun in the first place! |
