Want to know the prices in hk.

I am currently in the United Sates... how sad... all the rc product are expensive...

No, that's not my point.

I had my dad bought a TT01, and I kept running over almost everything!
it's in really bad shape, and my friend told me to get a new one.

So, I think I should start asking.

I want to own:
TA-05 with maybe some upgrades (should be cheaper than here)
brushless motor and ESC
Li battery.
A charger... I think I broke one yesterday, and now it doesn't charge.
I like drifting. I mean half drift and half grip. so I will need some tires.
Spektrum stuff (not really needed, but it's still cool) (avilible in HK?)

and is this hobby dying? I heard my friend said the rc stores are closing down.

RC products in USA are not that expensive, you should be grateful to be living in the US. Get an RC Car Action Mag, you will see heaps of online stores around US offering competitively priced RC kits.

the shippings...

the rc car action - mostly off-road and nitro car.
I would rather to go to the local hobby store since they seem to be cheaper.
(and i don't like to buy stuff over the internet)

EDIT: also, I need a charger!! any good cheap ones? 110V and 220V? I need this soon!!

Where th hell are you in the US?

if your order in HK and ship them to the US. it just pretty much the same price as you buy them locally.

but just like you said, most RC stores in the US are selling buggy, 4WD and nitro car.

US guys are not so interested about 1:10 EP touring or RC drafting

if you need a charger, you must take the 110v in the US. a good adaptor can be expensiver than the charger

reason for that (I think): they have so much area to jump around in dirt. for touring, they have a large area to run the car at a very high speed.

(used 90% ~ 95% new) sometimes you can find a good deal, try try la!

for products manufactured in usa, it will be cheaper to buy in usa than in hk, u can get at much as half price off the rrp. i used to buy hpi body shells from ebay usa all the time.

yes, average less 25%~30% of rrp, but the postage is fuxkin expensive!

bros post their second hand set at around HK$1400.

oh , I forgot the TA05 set in HK around $750 in average, varies on shell(s)_

TA05 - I don't want shells!!!! get away from me!! so they are always come with the shell? I think I'll get this one in HK when I come back.
