Want to share my recent racing experience:
Haven't played or raced for over a year. Went to race with a TC5, EX1 spektrum 2.4, Novak GTB, 13.5R.
First, I realized that all other cars were way faster than me. Then, they told me stock race should use 17.5R. 17.5R faster than 13.5R?? I asked. They said all because of the ESC.
Bought a set of Tekin RS ESC and Duo 2 17.5, and put that in the car right away. Wow!! Big different. I can catch up with other cars, but then I crashed at the 2nd qualify. Major damage and I have no part.....
Change car!! E4JS....... yeah, slower than TC5, but the main issue is the Spektum 2.4. It got jammed!!! People at the track told me that it happens to older 2.4G radios.
Conclusion: TC5, E4JS are considered as old cars. GTB is old. Spektrum is old. I am getting old (that's why I crashed big time). If you don't go often, you are out!! For me, I really don't have time to go often, so......... I am out of the hobby, at least away from the track.... |
