Wondering 1:10 or 1:8 is better. And which model is good to have future hop up possibilities. All c hings pls feel free to give honest advice.

thx c hing. I m really a newbie. I bought and played the V-one-S II (note: i even mixed up the model no.). Bought it simply recommended by a R/C shop, not because i knew which car performed better or was value for money. Then played for a couple times, if i remember correctly < 10 times because no companinon. You know play alone was somtimes quite boring and frustrated, particularly when there was technical problem. so, this is my shallow background. c hing 們見笑了
In anyway, my heart inside has never given this hobby up. So i restarted playing with a cheap china made GP big foot in Dec13. Still a nut street runner without improvment. This time i wanna buy a GP car which is good in long term playing purpose. Wish this potential one is popular and easy in terms of parts replacement and hop up in the current market.
c hing. i m interested in the one you mentioned v1r3. Is it equivalent to v1rrr? i find there are some quite different RRR models in the Kyosho official web site. A bit confusing to me. Could you pls provide me more information about it.
Sorry sorry for the inconvenience i bought u guys! As always, people wanna buy the best costing the least!
Thank you ching. Another c hing probably suggested the same model as you do. By the way, any physical shops in HK i can visit nowadays? Or should i go for the internet shops? I am out of this hobby for many many years. Months ago, i went to Mongkok trying to window shopping R/C cars, very unfortunately i could only find a few shops with very few R/C cars and even didn't see any GP model. But i really like the smell and sound made by GP cars
thx ching for your suggestion. up to now, ching 們 have recommended v-One SR, v1r3 and v-one-RRR. In fact, how is the ranking of them in terms of performance or years of production? you reminded me to visit the Kyosho website but i am quite confused所以厚面皮地好像直接問c hing好D, pls forgive my rudeness

Is your V-One-S II still available? If so, why don't you start playing with it now? It looks good and should be no problem for start playing until it retire.
If you don't have companion, please come to join us at Kwai Fong. Most Ching play on Sat night (sometimes Fri night). They will setup track and feel free to have fun and they are knowledgeable to help resolving problem. I am newbie too and they helped me much.

c hing. Yes, the car is still on hand. I intentionally took the car out from cabinet and took 2 pictures this morning to share with all c hings. Well, yes i also wanna start the engine to see if it is working or not. However, the battery case in the remote control has broken. I have to buy a new one for this. So i havent tried firing up the engine. Besides, i am afraid that i can't find replacement parts anymore in the market and i got no place nearby allowing me to play it. The one free R/C field (beneath Goose Neck Bridge) has closed down.
BTW, will u guys play tonight at the Wing Gei Road? If so, I wanna go and visit c hings there to learn more about R/C car before deciding which one to buy

Is it 2A x 4 Battery Case? It is easy to get one at $10 or below.
Oh, we played last night already and you can join us next week.
I suggest to try your existing car first. I am newbie and start with a 10+ year car and happy with it and not easy to find parts in HK. I am poor, so I will buy a new one until it cannot move anymore.

Oh, it's an 8 AA bettery case. I wonder if Ap Liu Street has it.
And very lucky, i tried start the old engine on the V-One SII half an hour ago, amazingly it's up and running in just one pull or two by the recoil starter. I had it's fuel tank filled up by half and left it idle running until the fuel was completely used up. The engine sounds healthy and stable. I am very excited cos it's been sleeping in the cabinet for 10 years!
C hing, you said you have got a car of some 10 years old! What if some of the parts broke? How can you find replacement of it? This is what I concern most of my ancient V-One SII. And that's why I am planning to buy a new R/C car which is easy parts replacement and of high hop up possibility.
