Actually, the front end may be stronger then you think, I have finish the first race with it and I did not break anything at all. However, the original 83T spur limit your selection on pinion to max 24T, and even 83/24 cannot give me the correct the gear ratio for a 8.5T motor, which I feel is ideal for racing 2WD modify.
I end up using a 6.5T for the race just to have enough speed. Ofcause, the car is harder to drive this way. Got TQ and finish A2 for the first race of the Cougar, very happy about it!
