sensorless brushless motors are still too new to all RC firms, not just to Tekin
Tekin R1 pro is able to update its firmware with Hotwire, update patches can improve the sensorless issues, and it is a programmable ESC with Tekin Hotwire, but more than 3S, the BEC function is disabled, u need to buy UBEC or normal BEC, eg. 5~6v 1~3A
Early R1 firmware has problems either on sensored or sensorless motor, but Tekin fixed it quickly...and keeping to improve it.
for all R1 owners, don't worry about the problem, the hardware is fine, just only the firmware is still "beta", pls wait and don't sell it right away! you should wait the Hotwire release to the market.
