呢隻好野來 wor~  當年小弟都想從這隻入手，但以 "純新手" 來說，呢隻算高難度之作！

行 775 geared 應該 ok，over power 好易解決，lack of power 就慘了！寧願大馬拉細車，若果放海頂浪，多多 power 都唔夠。

原裝車葉?  放張相看看.

首先，師兄要考慮有幾何放海？

隻船得廿六寸，放海無論多大馬力也無用，因海浪比船還大。

用大馬力電機有以下問題：
(i) 比較耗電，用同樣mAH 電池運行時間縮短。
(ii) 大馬力摩打一般平均電流比較大，要做好散熱。否則摩打好易過熱打柴，
尤其是冇用波箱連接車䈎，由摩打直出車䈎更要注意。

另外又要用比較大電流電變，增加成本及重量。

隻船得廿六寸，用550摩打加3:1 或6:1 波箱夠用有餘。
記住你果架係拖船，唔係快船。

其實初初係心大心細諗住over power就行慢d
不過食電似終係最影響放船樂趣既

之前砌過小号手既青島号同graupner拖船仔
所以對e隻可否完成都頗有信心

照片如果搵到容後再up

其實初初就係比佢外表吸引

唔會普遍拖船咁太粗獷之餘又型仔
又唔會太長太大對我新手黎講最適合
下隻目標係同牌既fairmount alpine

I agree to use 550 motor with gear ratio 3+1 as one of choice for Banckert. I have a Banckert using the Kyosho high Torque Motor with gear ratio 5+1 to get satisify result.I play it in Cheung Chau Tung Wan beach and the tug boat can overcome the wave easily.However ,some senior modelboat builder recomended me to use Graupner high torque motor for direct drive without gear box. The model no of the Graupner motor is Speed 600BB Turbo 12V(No 3302). Using 7.2 Voltage battery for the motor to drive the tug boat.

C-Hing,
GOOD high torque and low current motors are EXPENSIVE:

eg. Dumas 2004 6V HighTorque Motor: ~USD80.

Dumas 2005 12V High Torque Motor: ~USD80.

Excellent high torque motors: Decaperm motors, very very hard to find and VERY VERY EXPENSIVE.

Graupner 600BB is the same as Mabuchi 545 motor with ball bearing.
Same current consumption as 550 motor.

It is always true that (motor+gear-box) is better than any high torque motor at the same cost.

直出拖船，行得一個鐘。粗制濫造，我即刻收線，慳返八千人仔！

Direct drive for tugboat 唔係無，我呢隻 39 吋係直出既。

Both of the Decamperm and Hectoperm motors are damn expensive ! (Price differnce is <10%.)

Other than windshield wiper motors, one can also use automobile electric windows motors.

At ~30USD before counting shipping charge, this is another low-current high torque motor candidate:

BTW, the reason you use direct drive motors in larger boats is not because they are better
than geared motors.

You just running out of options:

There is no GOOD and economic gear-box for anything more powerful than 500 size motors.
