標題: Suggestions for Mini LST
Hi all,

Just got a Mini LST yesterday and tested it in MMS last night.... 2 words "SLOW AND NOISY"! But suprisingly it handles pretty decent. I love it especially with the long wheel travels.... You can see the suspension working really hard going up and down. Also I understand why LOSI needs to put 2 servos on because when those big tires makes the servos works really hard...
I was thinking of removing one of the motors like everyone asked to do too but I didn't bring any tools with me so I might have to do it later tonight.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to modify this little truck? And suggested motors?
Any suggestions I would really appreciate that!

Brushless! I am using a mamba 6800, but I think an AON or Hyperion or Feigao 400 would be better. I still need to gear mine way lower because it was overheating the mamba25. Other than that, I suggest doing this mod: Boil the front and rear diff gears. To do this, boil a pot of water, then pour it into a separate container. Drop the gears inside for aorund 30 minutes. Take them out, lube them up and put them back into the truck.

I personally have not try this because I don't even have time to touch my RC's right now! But I read that this method help moisten up the gears so they are not as brittle. I read one person did this to only his front gears and not the rear. After a couple of runs, the rear diffs were stripped, but not the front. Maybe coincidence?

But if/when I have time, I will take apart the MLST and try this mod for sure. This mod should be a must if you plan to run brushless in it.

Also, just saw 3racing released some alloy dampers for this truck. I want a set too!!!

Do you know any website I can go to about the Mini LST modifications? There seems to be not many people playing this truck in Hong Kong........

Do you know any "brushed" motors that I can use for the time being....... I am not quiet wanted to spend that kind of money yet......

Good site with a lot of 1/18-1/16 info and talk. Team Losi has a set of "Insane" motors out for the MLST. I also heard the Trinity Colbalt were really good motors, some say even stronger than brushless!

that's was really hard to find the shell in HK maybe you go KWS to order one

I got a MLST also, plan to use "shooters" 18T motor x 2 and Novak "公雞" speed controller..........will post it up upon finished.....but I can't find the Hitec HS 56 servo in HK......coz' I think the original servos are not strong enough........

I live in Canada...so I only play in the parking lot and backyard. There's a private offroad track that I have access to, but it's quite far, about 45 minute drive I am guessing.

Give "Hung Sing" a try.... I realize they have the most covers for everything....
If not, go "Jut Dart" and order one since they can order anything from Losi....

That body is by Parma for the Losi Mini-T (I think it's call the X-citer, although I am not 100% sure). Even here, there's only 1 shop that truly stocks this brand of bodies.

Sorry sorry... not "Jut Dart".... My mistake... it should be "Fai Jit".... On the street where there are a lot of pet shop in Monkok.......

They are the offical dealer for Losi stuff..... (I think)........

I've seen the LST2 like tires at the LHS...they looks very nice. And the price is not bad either...only a little more expensive than 18T/Mini-T tires.

但我對搖控車真係一無所知
唔知呢架車岩岩新仔玩?
我諗住買黎放假踩架單車去d山地玩
屋企又冇咩位, 只能玩d細車

如果係買, 有冇野係需要改左先?

真係唔好意思呀>< 推舊文... 希望各位可以答下我

That's ok my friend... I almost forgot about this post...
MLST is fun to play outdoor where it is not a huge area. Especially with gravel too because (and I can honestly say that) it is the only 1/18 offroad that can go high speed and go across bigger rocks and stones... The other 1/18 buggies such as MB4 and Mini Infernos, although they might be faster but the MLST2 is more flexable in terms of where to play and stuff........

Erm....  To be honest, I don't play with mine much because lately I have been playing MB4 more....  But I'll try to answer your questions.
The Shocks are pain to change oil.  It runs a different systems then normal oil shocks.  I am trying to figure out what replacement I can get for it though...
At the current moment, there isn't much you need to do...  But tell me, where do you guys want to play sin?  How big is the area?  Is it a track or just wide open land?
Covers, I think the ones for Mini T/RC18T should fit.  I have seen VW Beetle and Hummer H2.  I am sure there are more but there aren't many in the market.  You'll need to rely on some online stores.....
