I got one last year, my first nitro kit car and 2nd f1 car after my F104.
Good or not depends on your purpose and to me
- higher feel with engine sound n smoke
- good kit for learning engine tuning and setup
- more grip compared with my F104 in general
- a bit over priced
- 2 speed clutch & differential not included
- rear wheel mount compatible with f103/4's
- very easy to maintain compared with 4wd nitro touring car
If you are F1 fans, no regret to get one! For me, it shifted my interest to nitro car...got a
nitro RTR buggy and 2nd hand rrr now. But too much engine cars now, wondering I'll sell it out or upgrade it with 2 speed clutch which a bit expensive...

Thank you for sharing yours wonderful experiences.
I was thinking of either getting a Tamiya F104 or a Kyosho KF01, I have played EP 4WD touring car and buggy, but never play nitro power car before.
Recently I have collected a 20 years Kyosho 1/8 GP F1, it was a really excellent design, unforunately won't be able to find spare parts so I guess I just leave it for display.
I think I wanna to buy Kyosho KF01 now, it is true that is quite difficult to buy spare parts for Kyosho, and I guess I may need to store some spare parts in case they are run out of stock.
I am a die hard F1 fans and wanna to feel the engine sound and the smoke come out from the pipe.

I have one KF01, modified tuned pipe and ball diff. It ran very well and very good sound. Hope can found 2 speed gear for more speed. In HK not many people play KF01, hope we can joint together to play in some place. 作者: d.s 時間: 2011-9-21 23:03

I don't worry much about the spare parts as you could order parts from web site....just need to wait for sometimes. I tried it years ago for converting my TB03 drift version to IFS when have difficulties to get parts in KWS. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CEEpQj4Mrk8 Btw, are you looking for 2nd hand or new one?

Thanks for reminding, I am a little bit worry about difficult to find spare parts as well, but I agree with TheWolf, it would be ok to order on the internet if I can wait.
