True, very true.. P.S. What kind of config are you running? Is your speedo not running hot? I am running mine with 6.5T and LRP TC spec with fan...76/21 as per suggested but It gets really hot....

I am running TRF 7.5 Octa, same as X12, with SXX V2 TC spec, will test run on Sat. Running 22/76 gears, probably gear down to 20T if it gets too hot. BTW, are u fixing the speedy in front of the motor?

Yes C-Hing, I have very similar layout as you have except the location of the big capacitor is placed between the speedo and receiver... I tended not to get any heat into the receiver... The excess servo cable is exactly the same way... I don't like long cables

I am only using original setting at this moment, only run the car twice... I find that the slipper cluth get loosen after each run... Maybe I need to adjust the diff... I got couple of option parts but yet to try them....

Ftbingobingo C Hing, this car gave me lots of small problems... First lot production usually have tones of issues and manufacturers would quietly fix them... Generally... The diff nut was so special and so weak that make me change to Tamiya nut holder 4mm nut. The extra long data cable is just lovely!
Joho C Hing, thanks, I will add 2mm spacer and see what happens before touching the diff again.

Hi, Mlee ching, the condition of MX Club is a bit too harsh for this car, we have to go to China to play 1/10 buggies now on. Remember to put the red spacer between the slipper spring and the lock nut so hopefully the slipper doesn't come loose.

Where do u run this car too?

I don't know where to play, so I hope you have some suggestions!

But I want to play as soon as I finish! Just need to install electrics and paint body now... Yes let's get a group of us together!

For 中山track, any type that look like JCONCEPT bar code or Losi Taper pin for 4wd will work. 2wd, Jconcept double Dees or flip out will be the best

this simply means the manufacturer has no idea which one is better...

Forgive me by saying this, but I think you are very wrong... What Losi offer us is a choice to run either type, without getting any option parts....Besides, it's the only car on the market right now that you actually have a choice on which type you want to run.

The manufacturer have no idea what type of surface you are running on, for track with less than ideal traction, rear motor is the way to go. Higher traction, then mid motor may have an advantage. I for one love this option to "choose" from.... Last year I was stuck with a mid-motor car which simply just refuse to work on the type of track I am running on...

Is it wrong or right is not up to a single individual to judge.

However, I would like to see a long term time proven successful manufacturer like Associated to offer 'choices' like Losi. A good design is a good design.

UK racers race mainly on artificial grass tracks which are very grippy. So mid-motor cars and conversions are super popular there because this configuration gives more steering. In fact most companies designing mid-motor conversions are based in the UK. Dirt tracks have less traction. So rear motor is better for those conditions because the car won't spin out so easily.

Personally I think they are pretty clever to design one car kit that suits most conditions. And it's a great marketing ploy as well. So in my mind, it's the exact opposite to having no idea!
