To ensure that the RX8 clutch shoe works properly and for a long time, it is very important to run in the clutch shoe.
Please follow these run-in steps to help ensure proper clutch operation:

1. Install clutch according to manual.

2. Check that the spring preload is not too much; for run-in process use less preload.

3. When you start the engine, the clutch should start engage under low RPM.
If the clutch engages only under high RPM, stop the engine and loosen the spring preload collar. Repeat until the clutch engages under low RPM.

4. Run in the clutch shoe on the track, or on the starter box if you have only limited time.
(We recommend running it in on the track.)

5. Run in the clutch shoe for 1 tank of fuel using a soft preload setting, and then after that slightly tighten the spring preload. DO NOT run in the clutch shoe under high RPM.

6. Continue this process until the clutch shoe is properly run in; this will be indicated by a dark and glossy surface colour on the top of the clutch shoe.

Radio jam is not related to clutch shoe breakin in, I have no jamming issue at all.
The Rx is located inside the box, same as NT-1. How come NT-1 doesnt have this issue but RX8 does? Not possible

Some said the glinding frequency influent the RX. Not possible as well, not sure the racers using AM / FM bands or not, for sure 2.4GHz has descrembled signal and frequency wave length must be much shorter then glinding noise from the clutch. How much rpm can the engine reach??!? 40k something rpm max.

But I've found something interesting yesterday, this is the issue from NT1 already. The front lower shock ball head, the 3x8mm hex screw came lose with the ball head. So the car can't turn. the hex screw is too short, the lower arm can't hold the hex screw tight enoguh and vibration made the screw losing.

Ic…. Thanks for the opinion beebone. Personally I don’t experience any jam to my RX8. Just trying to see if this is related to some other bro’s radio issue with their maiden run of their cars.

Ic…. Thanks for the opinion beebone. Personally I don’t experience any jam to my RX8. Just trying ...

I can say KO RX will have cut off on any car, this is well known issue.
And some found that Sanwa in HRS mode will used up the battery very soon. I set it back to Normal mode.

Normally on Ko and Sanwa, dont know about Futaba. Anyway, check the top deck, esp the flex screw, just bolt on firm but not hard, no vibration or lose, and do some insulation on the RX box, it will be fine.
