NiMH is 1.2 x 6 = 7.2V and Lipo is 3.7 x 2 = 7.4V 因 lipo 電壓是比 nimh 高, 所以有d 唔放心個電變頂唔順 .. . .. ( nimh & lipo 充滿後都會再高d 的 )作者: byron.C 時間: 2010-1-12 13:43
計落又好似係呀 .... lipo 差滿 8.4v .... nimh 差滿都不過是 9v.... 個電變一定頂唔順 lipo

Hi all 師兄, before I read the reply from byron.c I have tried to run my LAZER RTR with a pack of 2S lipo. Below is my running report :
1. I checked the Lipo voltage before testing = 4.1 + 4.1 = 8.2V ( LIPO fully charged 3 weeks ago...... no time to play)
2. In the beginning, I only run at half or 3/4 throttle.
3. then I full the speed is not very fast, so I tried full throttle and speed is ok but still not fast.
4. after 3 ~ 5 min running, I check the temp of the ESC ( only a bit hot), and motor (only a bit hot), but the motor connector to ESC is hotter than I expect.
5. I keep running for another 3 ~4 min, over 1/2 of the time is at full throttle.
6. Then I check the temp of ESC ( still a bit hot only) and motor ( hot, but less than I expected.) and the motor connector to ESC is the hottest among 3.......
I tried the above test in the open playground of Olympic city 2. I did not bring the lipo voltage tester last so I dont know what is the lipo voltage at the end of the test but i would say the speed did not drop when compare to the beginng.
In the view of the above test, I would say it is OK to use Lipo to run the LAZER RTR but should change the T plug for motor & ESC connection......
