Finally got myself this new toy....>~~..Take a look at the box sin!

Vyer nice packaging...and also a CD.....guess what that is!

Here comes the real stuff...~~

I am still waiting for a set of suitable boots ( I think they are on the aeroplane now)......th it willl be rock n roll time la!

Power is form E-maxx's EVX ESC..and two 550 motor.........it will be operating in 7.2V....:-)

HAHA...Brother minimini certainly knows about RCmarket!

Yeah..its from Korea......as for the version..i have no idea...is there a 2nd version?
This is called the Gmade Spider.....and the gear box is fixed...they use the CLod BUster axle ga....

I think there are several versions.......one is for the TLT gear box.........another is for Clod Buster ........coz' I am also interested in that kit.......but too expensive lu.........

Very nice! I never thought someone in HK will be interested in a Clodbuster. Btw, if you want to go brushless, I suggest using a pair of Mamba25 with 2 outrunner motors. Much cheaper and lighter than the Novak system.

Currently i am running twin 550 motors with 7.2V input...i will put it for a virgin run when the wheels arrived....then decide if there is a need to upgrade the powerplant!

I have heard of that but have not seen it wor..

maybe its a copy cat......honestly..this kit is very nice.....holes are nicely fitted and it looks very durable.......so i am happy in what i have purchased....

Very cool very cool...... Crawlers are rare breed in Hong Kong RC world. So far I haven't really taking it out for any real crawling action yet. We should see how many Crawler players here and perhaps we can head to the beach or the old airport runway someday......

Guys, are you planning on adding weight around the rims for better tractions?

This is one damn good looking truck! And the Alloy axle is a dream piece of hopped up!!!..How much did it cost you man?

Are you using the 23 mm adaptors as well? Where u got it? I am going to use the Gmade Ultra tire which is 14mm

We normally crawl at Diamond hill......hehe....

I'm running 55T motors from Topcad, got them from Challenger. By the way, if you want to use Proline wheels and Proline moab, the 23mm adapter from Hobby Hobby will not work because the offset of the wheels are too deep inside and the tires will rub the links during turning. You're gonna have to go with the adapters from RC4WD ones.

Woooo..... Thanks for the heads up man! I was gonna pick that up last week but thank got I didn't have enough cash for everything at that time...!
BTW, there are 2 kinds of moabs. What are the difference? Also, do you add any weights inside the tires?

Thats why i ask...because thats what i heard form other forum too..and was wondering if you have some magic place to buy that adaptors..but the end result is the same RC4WD!!!

That pair of the alloy axle was the last pair I got from GPM (Chin Ngai) some time last year. Can't find them anymore in HKG now. They cost me over 2K+ by then.

I can answer u the 2nd one........my tire are in post office now...but i doubt i will add weight to it since the rubber is soft already!

The set on my Spider is the Narrow set that I got them from Harmony Model.
I have not yet put any weights inside them but I'm planning to do later.

I would not recommend ordering at RC4WD at the moment. They seem to be having some trouble with their shipping. There are a lot of complains of people receiving half their order or not receiving anything at all. Check out www.thecrawlerstore.com, they should have many items that you guys need and no complains of their shipping ever.

Mike, the narrow tires are better for crawling because it puts less stress on the servo when turning while the truck is stationary. Also, they tend to have more sidewall which is useful in crawling. Also, I am not aware of a Gmade chassis that uses the TLT axles. The only one I know is the new Junfac chassis. But since it uses the stock drivetrain, it is not very suitable for crawling since it is belt driven.

High turn motor + slow crawling = replacing belts all the time.

Find a stampede or rustler transmission (same) on Ebay and get yourself a chassis built for those transmission. Much better performance and IMO looks much better too.

The original Chod's axle at my TXT crawler snapped when I was trying to screw in the wheels way too tight and thank god someone has a parts car for me to take parts off..........
I just put a TLT2 together last night... but not sure what the hell am I gonna do with it.....

I don't see you install the anti-rollbar set on your spider. Do you think it will be better without the anti-rollbar on?
By the way .... for the original clod axle, you're gonna need to install the Axle Tube Brace. It's a must as the most weak point of the axle is at the C-Hub at the end of the Axle Tube ....... like this one ....

Hi Brother Rock Dragon...

I did remove the sway bar...because the sway bar kinda limits the rolling effect.....and i found that from the Gmade website..their Spider Video also crawl without the Sway Bar....

For the Axle Brace...i did install ga....probably the picture angle that you did not notice it was there....:-)

Currently running with two 550 motos which will soon be replaced by a twin 55T motor as Rock Dragon suggested...

And i am currently waiting for some heavy duty servo saver..without those...my car is only a display item man!!!!

I think that you should try to connect the receiver battery pack on and let see that you still have the problem of servos not turning.
Why? .... The Traxxas EVX ESC has BEC current output at only 1.5 Amp max. This won't be enough current to drive 2 servos at the same time as for the 4WS.
The esc I'm using is TEKIN REBEL 2 that it has 5 Amp of the BEC current. The other common ESC that are used in the rc rock crawler is the Novak Super Rooster .... but it's already discontinued making.

Let me know the result.

Got some time out to take some pics btw the Gorilla Maxx and the Gmade....

both are nice truck..but going for completely different purpose...one for speed and handling...one for slow powerful crawling~~~

And i thought e-maxx was huge (at least in my collections)......after putting it side by side next to a Gmade Clod....erthh...i kinda need to think again~~~

Even the tyre is a big difference between the two...keep in mind hte tire on the E-maxx is from REVO..which is already quite big...........

and i just ordered the 12mm to 14mm adapters form RC4WD ( i did email and get confirmation from them they have stock first).......so the crawler is about to have the last piece of hopped up to make it ALIVE~~~~

I just switch to two 55T motor set up yesterday....it should give it more run time with better torque as well~~~...

All i am waiting is a shell..and the extention parts from RC4WD

I had 30+ minutes of runtime with two 55T and a pack of 1100mah battery (for 1/18). So if you are running the new 4200's, you should have a few hours of runtime

U have to buy it online if you dont want to wait for the HK hobby shop to pull in some stock which does not have a concrete schedule..
Parts i guess is available for Gmade...and it won't break easy..rather than worrying parts for Gmade...i think it would be more sense to worry parts for the Clod buster!~~

As far as i know....Gmade does not have any conversion kit for TXT wor~~~

because of the centre axle..it is not one of the top choice by crawler expert.~~~

The Spider and the Dragoon are designed for different purpose of use.

The spider is for crawling with slow movement ....
but the dragoon is for bashing with speed in mind.

But the item is in the States. That isn't sound good because the shipping charge will drain out my pocket. And I think that the seller won't sell to outside the States either.

Well ..... I will have to wait longer .... or the other way .... I'll probaby go for the Rockbull II Special Edition "RED one" ...

I have yet to install those..just go the news its arrived...will pick it up tmr...tmr night should be the first time with extended width....i am eager to see how it looks man!

The RC4WD adaptors finally arrive...wow..it makes a hell lot of difference in terms of clearance from the body!!!

Finally done with my new shell...

So this is the final... ...the completed Gmade Spider

i also upgrade the electronics to 5955 Servo(front)...and ERG-VX (Rear)..and Tekin Rebel 2 ESC...lets go rock crawling!~
