it is a GP Entry level RC, Design aim is for beginner. It is easy for you to know how to maintain & manage a gas power RC.

it is a good car for beginner. In my opinion, forget about the modification, save a money to upgrade your next GP RC. Mover, Kyosho provide a very good quality RC body, parts & metal parts, it is much better than a Tamiyx. I won't be modify too much on any entry RC, like TT01, basic change is OK, such as ball bearing. Control you intention; Don't fall into the modification trap, otherwise you may not be able to have your next level GP RC. Hope this help!

By the way, if you like speedy GP RC, think about the X-Ray NT1 & Kyosho V-1 RRR WC. Both of them are excellent RC!

for real competition, RRR or NT1

I know you saw one C-hing offer a 2nd hand V1 S II.

As I said, FW05 is entry level.  V1 RRR / SR series is championship level.
You can said FW05 = tt01e; V1 SIII = TA05R;  V1 RRR /SR = TRF 416
Think what you need & go what you should buy.  There have no standard.  For me, V1 SIII is good enough for me, cos I willnot join the championship.

Most of a GP RC can be fit "hand pull engine", including V1S III.

forget about the hand-pull if you go for 3R, this is my past experience. it is more fun just press and start your car with a starter
