標題: TWin Detonator
Who play this car ? Any comment ? I don't know whether the power consumption of this car is so large as a result of twin motors.

What type of speed control you use? The orginal mechanical one or electronic one? (If ESC, which model ?)

I'm use Novak rooster ESC with original 540 motors.

I just bought a 2nd hand one last month with a very reasonable price.
I have no blame on this baby for regular off road running, climbing up little stair case, running over the mud and sandy land.
the previous owner installed mc300 with two 540 motor. But i highly recommand a more durable and powerful esc and servo.

P.S. As I know some of the parts are compatible with other tamiya chassis, if any brother have any idea towards any parts of this baby. Please share!!!

I checked that the rated fwd/rev currents of Novak rooster are 100/100A respectively.

If Novak rooster is capable for the twin motor duty, I think Futaba MC330 can coz its rated fwd/rev currents are 200/100A respectively.

By the way, 工藤新一 suggested using Novak Super Duty XR (400/180A). Who know how much$ is it ?

The shopkeeper in TQ Racing (創x) recommended a one that worth $4xx for me (forgot the name, but it is blue in a paper box) Any idea?

i have this car too i would say APEX speed control for twin motors so you can run 2 pack of 7.2v become 14.4V

oh sorry forget to tell you the price is $4XX, i use this with my twin detonator, i think is not bad and power obviously upgraded too!

Oh yes, I remeber now, the ESC that recommended by 創x is Apex.

apex is alright........pretty much lifetime warranty.
they also do a lot of oem products for other brands.

Thanks for sharing the photo. Can the original 540 motor handle 14.4V? Also, can the truck handle the power without braking any parts?

so far so good! but do not adjust your body level too high the "turning cup" will quickly wear out seriously
