1) so the AE86 chasis is even narrower than the ferrari?
2) do batteries pop out in heavy collisions?

1. Yes
2. Anything can happen during a 'heavy' collision but I added some plastics to the inside of the body shell to secure the cells on both sides. The 2 cells at the centre of the chassis, luckily, don't usually move.

There is a capacitor stating the maximum voltage. Some older pcb allows only 7volts while nowadays 2.4G can afford up to 10 volts. However, please be reminded that the current draw of the motor is also decisive. A motor that has fewer turns and thicker wiring needs FETs that allow a higher current draw.

So far I don't have any problem of loose batt. I have plastics glued onto the inside of the body shell to secure them.
