After a few days of holiday, 由於覺得很悶很無聊, 小弟情緒失控, 我真的無法控制自己了, something 鬼鬼馬馬 happened in my RC garage....

Well, not very intelligent but it was fun to me. I know some may 諗 this is a crime....

It all started because, since a few months ago, I thought my 75mhz AM Futaba Attack was old, well, after all, I got it for less than USD$10 back in 1992 when I was going to school.

One thing I did not like about the attack, even though very economical and robust, the trim shifts a lot 連小弟 D 白頭髮也捱出來, 小弟要經常 have to adjust the trims everytime I run my cars, 覺得好多方面都不方便, even though I do not run my cars too often.

Well, this was a design problem, there was only one rheostat for each channel and the trim was simply a physical shift of the whole rheostat, which was a bit pre-historical.

真係要動動腦筋喇.

Then I found this 'Expert' brand (made in Korea) 7ch transmitter NIB for sale on the bay a few months ago and got it for ~USD18, shipping was expensive though, 大灑金錢, 倒錢落海, cost me close to USD$50 in total of 小弟身家, ....

certainly not 「慳錢秘笈」. Very sophisticated, some channels can mix, dual rate, reverse, all those functions for flying.

It is smart looking, professional look alike, after all, with many switches and buttons 十分搶眼.

Just like Masami's KO, many switches!

I told my colleague at work, the whole reason I bought it was because it looks smart, as though it would have changed my IQ by a % point or so. 傻仔黐黐地

Then I went on to do some difficult surgeries.

小弟一廂情願 assumptions were that:

(1) the rheostats for the 4 main channels are the same in values between my Futaba attack and the Expert transmitter (都唔會好難), if I was wrong then I would have to use the Futaba rheostats (and 小弟 was correct, certainly 笑吟吟!!!

(2) with some time and elbow grease and luck, soldering and un-soldering and 辛酸落淚, this should be an interesting, even though not highly intelligent, project

(3) I always wanted a metal case transmitter anyway (好膚淺),

(4) a transmitter with numerous buttons may raise my IQ by a percentage point (it did not...)

BUT: the $$ I spent, could have gotten a nice good contemporary transmitter already, 黐黐地, 啼笑皆非....

Anyway, at the end I have a semi-intelligent looking old technology 2ch transmitter. Ok, at the end, the project was successful. 迴腸蕩氣!!!

However, only one of the switches on the top panel was used for servo reverse, the other switches were there to show of my intelligent capacity (or dis-capacity)

The main advantage was that now there are 2 rheostats for both channel 1 and 2, the additional trim rheostats make fine adjustments so much more reliable.

This is still essentially a futaba attack 2ch 75 mhz AM transmitter with 20+ years old technology. 傻x左, 小弟走火入魔只可以怪自己

This project reduced my 身家 a bit but did not increase or decrease my IQ in anyway at all, which was disappointing

but not surprising...

小弟將 transmitter 好好供奉

嗚 ~ 我因為讀緊書好窮, 買得架回力標砌好咗諗住儲錢再買控. 但係最終 ...... 將架車未完過就賣咗喇...... 我仲記得收我架車個間鋪喺好景商場地下 ( 即四樓4仔阿叔個位 ) 依家執咗好耐喇 ! ( 抵佢死 ! 我買咗三百幾, 佢比返 $80 我咋 ...... ) 嗚 ~ 鳴 ~ 你哋有無人買咗 ?
後來我一有工做就買咗 3架車 + Futaba Mega Junior 控, 但係早幾年搬屋時, 老豆當玩具掉咗 !!!!! 你哋有無人見過 ? ( TA02 D2 Benz 黑色, TA03 Opel Cliff 白色同 F103 紅色 ) 嗚 ~ 嗚 ~ 我真係命苦喇 ..........

you can buy the replacement "pot" or "rheostat" to make the unused Attack transmitter to work again
