TF5s is not a very strong car.  As mentioned previously the plastic tub was broken and this happened only after a few rounds at JV due to my newbie driving style.

The Lexus SC430 body is quite nice however.   

I was going to buy EP Fazer last year but all KWS shops ran out of stock at the time.  Hung Sing boss suggested that I should go for this.   I should have waited....

Anyway, I don't want to waste this car and hence got the 3Racing part.  I hope the new carbon chassis will be able to give this car a second life.   hehe.

Almost done.  Most of the electronics are now in place.  Just missing a new receiver.

Dear BigCat,

I find that Kyosho parts for TF5s are not commonly available in KWS shops.  If you don't insist on original parts from Kyosho, you can use replacement parts from various after market suppliers such as 3 Racing etc.  
For example, my carbon chassis, upper deck and motor mount are from 3 Racing; rear universal drive shafts are the same ones as my Sakura Zero etc.
For items such as suspension arms, I have to use Kyosho original parts and I got them from "Hung Sing".

Also you may not be able to obtain advice easily as most c-hings are unfamiliar with this car.  You may need to explore and compare on your own for a better understanding of its maintenance.  On the other hand, Kyosho instruction manual is easy to read and comprehensive with lots of details.

This was my first EP touring car and I only play it a few times before switching over to Zero.  Shaft driven car is fun to drive and is the reason why I restore it.

It was HK$1480 at Red Star (last November).  All plastic parts.

Installed anti-roll bars using Top Sabre kits with some minor modifications.

Try 11F 星野一義 to help with ordering Carbon Chassis and alloy steering

Try Hung Sing for original Kyosho A arms etc.

Hopefully Tamiya will release this 200MM body soon.  I can replace the old Lexus SC430 which is badly beaten up.

The internal servo saver is too strong.  I found that all the ball caps are loosen after a few rounds at JV.  This affects the accuracy of the steering.  
Hence I added a TOP servo saver which has better response to steering impacts, further tighten the internal saver so that it becomes pretty much a fixed steering column.   Of course I replaced all the loose ball caps to restore its accuracy.

Just found that TF5s suspension mounts are low profile enuff for this popular 911 GT1 body (200mm).

Fazer is a much stronger car that TF5s.

However once you have fine tuned your TF5s, you will have plenty of fun.
