I don't think so, the technology is old but nowadays materials reliability is different. Engine power increase alot but Centax clutch, 2 speed gear ratio are limited the power, unless we can close ratio 3 speed transmission coming out. Seems, Schumacer has launched a 1/10 with 3 speed .28 engine few yrs ago, but not popular.
you ar the best, yr opinoin always make sense,
令我想到一個案例~
上世紀中GM最先發明(轉子引擎),結果是放棄了研究同量產,只有今天日本仔的RX7/RX8借助牠來賣gimmick 和改進, they are based on advance sci. also
The structure of the Schumacher is same as that use in BMT 1/8 on-road many years ago. The structure is similar to the 2 speed transmisshion now we are using but it use a click ( fly-weight ) to lock with the pin in the housing of 2nd speed and 3rd speed instead of centrifugual shoes. When the 3rd speed engaged, the click of the 2nd speed will rub with the housing ( rotate in reverse direction as the 1st gear ) of the 2nd speed gear which will cause power lost.
