Teaser pics of new product coming soon...

Hello everybody! Just want to show you guys some pictures of a new part made by a buddy of mine, Chris, the owner of Rogue Element Components. These started because a few of us bike fans wanted something different other than the typical GPM parts that everyone else had. Chris is amazing in his work, I will post some more of his previous projects for you guys later. I will tell you guys when these are officially released. I have 2 sets coming in the next few weeks   But here's a sneak preview on what's coming...

These are not your typical hubs, anybody want to guess what is "special" about them?

Thank you! I will post up more picture tomorrow. But I will just reveal what is so special about these since the difference is quite hard to see. The material used for these gears are Titanium. Chris had done these on a CNC, but because Titanium is a very hard material to machined, these took a while to make. Before each gear is sent out, they will be run on a lathe to make sure they run perfectly. Another tip is to run brand new chains because of the tolerance on these, they are made to run with the mint condition of a new chain. A looser used one might have problems, although I am not 100% sure.

These will not wear like the aluminum versions by GPM. As some people know, GPM uses cheap grade aluminum on most of their parts, hence they are not the most durable. The following words are exactly what Chris told me, "These will NOT break, they will not even wear in like their aluminum counterparts.".

The Titanium versions will be a limited "Special" edition. After, alloy ones will be replacing them. There will be a lot more parts for the Kyosho HOR coming out in the near future.

Sorry, I didn't really catch that. You can post in Chinese, I can read it, just not type it. If you guys want to do a group buy or something, I will let Chris know and we can work something out. Although I am not sure how many "Special" ones he made.

I think 'beebee' wanted to know how to buy it. We are sure interested in it, would you mind showing us all the Kyosho HOR products that Chris made? And it will wonderful if there is a disocunt for group purchase. Also, can we suggest Chris what other option parts that we wanted to be 'metalize' ? 'cos we are quite disappointed with some Kyosho and GPM parts. Thanks.

Ok, here's the update from Chris.

As surprised as I am, he is not interested in a group buy. Because he is very busy with school at the moment and he didn't run a lot of these off. So he just told me to tell you guys, if you want them, hurry up! Because they are going fast! I have a feeling he probably ran about 10 of them off, which really makes this parts "Special Edition".

As for other custom parts, I doubt it. There will be more parts coming in the future, but we will just have to wait and see what Chris comes up with. And believe me, you won't be dissapointed in his products.

For the moment, keep checking his site for updates. I will post more contacting info in the next few days.

Price is $32.99 + $2.99usd shipping in the US only. So contact him directly for international shipping. (Actually I think this info might be on his website.)

Got mine right after my material science midterms today...so happy!These pieces are SO beautiful! But these require a "tolerance fit"procedure to get the bearing in because the tolerance is so exact.Basically bearing in fridge, gear in oven, one shrinks and one expand,then clamp them together in a vice to cool down to room temperature.Talk about perfectNESS!
